[Christianeducators] VBS Reviews at VTS - Personal Experience

Dear Colleagues,
I visited the VBS Fair at VTS last week with the volunteers who will
coordinate our VBS at St. Alban's this year.  In addition to the excellent
written reviews which are available online, the Fair has all the curricula
laid out for easy review and evaluation.  The staff was also extremely
helpful.  I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted to do and came out
with a plan - which involved an assimilation of some older material that
isn't even on the written review.  There are many resources available at the
Center for the Ministry of Teaching and this is an excellent time for a trip
across the river to check it out.
 
The VBS Fair is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Saturday, March 4th.
 
We have done several of the "Top Picks" programs and I'm happy to advise
anyone considering them.

Please let Christian educators in your diocese know about reviews of VBS
curricula by the Center for the Ministry of Teaching:

 

   Visit the Virginia Theological Seminary website for reviews of over 20
Vacation Bible School resources. Included in the reviews are many of the
latest curricula for 2006 along with old favorites from the past.

   To read the reviews, go to www.vts.edu <http://www.vts.edu/>  and click
on the tab for Center for the Ministry of Teaching. On the opening page look
for the VBS information, which can be downloaded with Adobe software in a
pdf format.
